Day 315 of 365
A few pictures today. These are Morden Sunrise roses - they start peach, and fade to pink and yellow, plus they are the most fragrant of the roses in my garden. They are doing really well this year.

Day 313 of 365
We watched a thunderstorm roll in this evening (high winds, rain and hail - luckily no damage for us).

Day 304 of 365
Some people have nice pictures of their children on their blogs - this is my 15 year old racing from the camera.

Day 301 of 365
Washed all the windows inside and out today - these are the screens that aren't retractable, they all got a clean too.

Day 300 of 365
The grass seed and sod that we planted last week are growing. We had some rain recently and it has made all the difference.

Day 299 of 365
Pieced a baby quilt today (it is all ready for quilting). I cut the pieces out yesterday with the GO! Cutter and the Rob Peter to Pay Paul die. Thank goodness for rainy days. This will be a gift for a family friend.

Day 298 of 365
Our first "big" harvest from the garden. We have a little bit of all kinds of veggies in the garden - a stir fry/salad garden (we had a stir fry for supper). In the colander there are beans, carrots, zucchini, an onion, spinach and a few different kinds of peas.
I recently read somewhere on the internet that a couple were buying those yellow Tupperware colanders, like the one in the picture. They find them at garage sales, flea markets etc. They have a cupboard full now. Just so when their children clean out their home one day, they will wonder what their parents where doing with all those matching colanders. Every time I pull out my yellow Tupperware colander it makes me smile.

Day 297 of 365
Since one side of the deck is finished I was able to do the last of the planting. I moved perennials and shrubs, and replanted the herb garden.

Day 292 of 365
Another lovely/busy weekend. We put up a gazebo, added the boards for the deck and put in some stairs (I was thrilled - my legs are all bruised from climbing over the edge of the boards to get to the back door for the past month), plus added sod around the patio to finish it off. Just a bit more work to do.

Day 288 of 365
We finally had some rain, and so I was able to stay inside sewing (between the 5 power outages). I finished off this quilt top (a lap quilt for a family friend).
Oh no, another picture of my patio - it was nice to see the true colour of the stones in the rain, instead of the gray colour it normally is.
