I added another quilt to my "mini quilt room" (aka the laundry room). This one is "Blessings" from the Temecula Quilt Co.

Tried adding some metallic thread to my quilting - and for a change it worked well.

I tried Russian Punchneedle Embroidery with some of the new threads.

We spent the last couple of days in the States (it is Spring Break here). Of course I had to go to my favourite needlework store and indulge my addiction to threads (my main blog is called Thread Head for a reason).

I was looking through my button jar and was pleasantly surprised by how many mother-of-pearl buckles I have - now I have to figure out how to incorporate them into my crazy quilting. The largest one is 2" long.

First day of Spring and some tulips are popping out.

The trees at the back were full of robins today - nice to see them back along with many other types of birds, always a good sign.
All the snow is now gone, plus the ground is almost dry, and it is not even spring yet - unbelievable.

Last night we went to a gala, and this was the wonderful dessert.

We waited in a long line-up for the car wash today, but our car sure needed a wash. There was quite the pile of dirty snow melting away beside us. 21C temperatures today and supposed to be 28C tomorrow - incredible.
